It is said that a child’s enthusiasm can power an empire. There has always been a familiar sense of energetic rebirth that resonates through the mind of a young adolescent. When the older generation is placed among the younger, a beautiful scene unfolds. The elder individual, as grandparents discovered, is reminded to speak in terms of creativity, laughter, happiness, and simplicity. There is no longer a mutual ground where the stress and complaints of societal responsibilities are welcome. The only true bridge between the generations, is the act of leaving the weight of the world, and living the joys of the moment…..barefooted.

While this comes naturally to children adults must relearn it. Unfortunately, not all young ones are in a capable position to fill their childhood with discovery, laughter, and simplicity. Many of the bright lights of these young minds are dimmed by life’s adversity and unfair nature. By carrying the weight of the world at such an early age, just like many adults today, they too, struggle to take advantage of every moment. The Ginantri Foundation believes all children, regardless of circumstance, should be provided with an equal chance at community, love, and education. Ginantri ensures children who face such adversities have a venue for friendship, adventure, and wonder. Each child is lifted from the weight carried on their shoulders, and supported with education and compassion as they are continually nurtured and encouraged to follow their dreams.

May we all remember to confront each morning with the mind of a child; so therefore, each night can be met with the contentment of a day spent in abounding enlightenment and marvel.
